This webinar consisting of on-demand pre-recorded presentations will provide guidance for engineers involved in the design of building projects that are subject to wind loads. The webinar will cover topics considering both AS/NZS 1170.2 and AS 4055 and the correct application of both standards to the design of steel sheds and other steel structures. It will include details on how these standards differ and how to correctly apply them to optimize the design of steel structures.
This webinar is a must for engineers who are involved in the design and specification of steel structures subject to wind loads.

Geoff is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Science and Engineering, James Cook University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers and a member of both the Australasian Wind Engineering Society and the Australian Earthquake Engineering Society. He is a member of a number of Australian Standards Committees including the committees responsible for the wind loading standards, AS/NZS 1170.2 and AS 4055. Geoff has been involved in teams that have investigated damage to structures following extreme wind events throughout Australia and on other projects to evaluate and improve resilience in buildings.
