Can you spare some time to attend the expo and co-host the ASI stall? By engaging with young people you can promote steelwork fabrication & manufacturing apprenticeships as a potential career pathway into the Steel Industry that may interest secondary students.
The SA Department for Education are funding exhibition space for the local Steel Industry to host a stall at the upcoming Adelaide Careers and Employment Expo 2024. A dedicated space within the Duncan Gallery, adjacent to the main expo venue, will provide secondary students the opportunity to learn about in-demand careers within South Australia. This presents an excellent opportunity for the Steel Industry in South Australia to connect with an estimated 9,000 secondary students who will attend the event.
The Australian Steel Institute (ASI) will coordinate and host the Steel Industry stall, in conjunction with Weld Australia, who will provide a virtual welding simulator. The virtual welding simulator will make the stall more interactive and engaging for students.
If you have the capacity and time to support, that would be most welcomed and please bring along some additional marketing collateral (eg. flyers/brochures, pull-up banners, inter-active equipment, etc) to promote your business at the event, keeping in mind that we will be at a 6m x 3m exhibitor stall shared with the ASI, Weld Australia, and ASI SA fabricator members in the various time slots.
In terms of your time commitment at the expo, the following time slots are available:
Friday 10th May
• 9:00am – 12:00pm
• 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Saturday 11th May
• 9:00am – 12:30pm
• 12:30pm – 4:00pm
