This case study describes the upgrade undertaken to Melbourne's Sports and Aquatic Centre in preparation for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The upgrade included both permanent and temporary roof structures to accommodate its immediate and future needs. Tubular steel sections are used extensively in the largely cable-stayed roof structure. Steel Australia June 2006.
