Spencer Street Footbridge is a project which is recognised by the client, by all those involved, and by industry as having been successful. It was delivered on time, on budget and, with respect to the steelwork documentation, had a sum total of only 6 RFIs. It has since received a number of awards on differing fronts. As any building project, there was no one party or single decision to which the successful outcome could be attributed. With this in mind, these brief notes seek to focus on the "environmental" factors which contributed to the outcome. (Prepared 2000). Steel Construction journal Volume 34 Number 4.
