Design capacity tables for structural steel, vol. 4: Rigid connections - hardcopy or ebook

This consolidates all the design capacity tables contained in the individual rigid connection design guides into one volume for easy reference and comparison, as well as providing standardised components and bolting and welding details for each connection.
These tables aim to replace the rigid connections section of AISC Standardised Structural Connections (3rd edition, 1985) and provide typical details and load capacity tables for the welded beam to column connection, the bolted moment end plate beam splice connection, the bolted end plate to column moment connection, the bolted cover splice connection, the bolted/welded cover plate splice connection and the fully welded splice connection. Information on the design model used for each connection can be found in the relevant design guide for that connection.
The capacity tables have been developed for selected connection configurations covering: steel grade, connection components such as plates or cleats, welds, bolts, hole geometry, bolt pitches and bolt gauges. For a selected connection configuration, most design calculations are eliminated using the tables except for design checks which relate to the supporting member or general frame design.
