There is a myriad of coating systems available in the market to protect structural steel, from temporary protection to those that protect for many years (for example coating on steel oil platforms). Selection of the appropriate coating system depends predominantly on the atmospheric exposure of the planned environment. This presentation will provide a greater insight on steel surface preparation and available coating systems.
