This journal article details the composition of the new series which reflects the current state of knowledge of connection behaviour from test results and includes design capacity tables, details on bolted moment end plate beam splice connections, welded beam to column moment connections, bolted end plate to column moment connections and splice connections. Each design guide is intended to provide a design model which gives a reasonable estimate of connection design capacity, thoroughly researched and developed in accordance with AS 4100.
