The connections included in this current Design Guide are generically associated with various configurations of bolted planar connections providing continuity of nominated design actions between SSHS members connected together. They comprise:
- Bolted end plate splices
- Bolted moment end plates (four and eight bolt configurations)
This publication supersedes in part AISC 'Design of structural steel hollow section connections, volume 1: Design models' by A.A..Syam and B.G. Chapman, 1996.
