Economic outlooks for local and international steel will be explored at the Australian Steel Institute’s popular Economic Briefings breakfasts, starting March 21. Supported by InfraBuild and AustralianSuper, the briefings will deliver the latest outlook on the global economy and foreign economic performance impact on Australia.
Registration is $79 per person for a seated breakfast from 7am (table of eight $599), with presentations from 8am-10am.
The seminars will be held in Brisbane on Tuesday 21 March, Sydney on Wednesday 22 March, Melbourne on Wednesday 28 March, Adelaide on Tuesday 4 April and Perth Wednesday 5 April. Venues are currently being decided.
Guest speakers are head of market analytics at InfraBuild Mei Leong and senior manager for thematic macro research at AustralianSuper Tony Morriss. Leong’s responsibilities include analysing the global steel and raw materials markets, including identifying trends and formulating forecast prices. Morriss undertakes research into longer-dated trends that impact investments such as the energy transition, inflation and interest rates and political and social trends such as ageing, globalisation and technology innovation.
