State winners of the Steel Excellence Awards will be nominated for the Australian Steel Institute’s National Australian Steel Excellence Awards, presented at the 2022 Australian Steel Excellence Awards Gala Dinner in Sydney in November.

Judging Criteria

Please read the criteria on how awards will be judged.

Applications for this category must address:

  • The nominated apprentice must be under 25 years old at the time of application
  • Demonstrate skills around project management (10 points)
  • Be dedicated to his or her trade or profession and show keen ambition (10 points)
  • Be aware of environmental sustainability as applied to construction (10 points)
  • Have worthwhile personal development and future aspirational plans (10 points)
