Family-owned and operated, Doogood™ Australia has carved out a reputation as one of the country’s leading end-to-end steel fencing manufacturers. From its headquarters in Doveton, Victoria, the business delivers durable, Australian-standard steel fencing solutions for the residential, commercial, civil, and government sectors.
Founded by brothers Brad and Nathan Jones in 2007, Doogood has grown into a vertically integrated operation with more than 90 staff and a national customer base. “We’ve built our reputation on consistency, quality, and innovation,” director Brad Jones said. “Everything from steel supply, laser cutting, welding and fabrication, to our in-house powder coating is done under one roof.”
That roof just got bigger. The company recently installed one of the largest powdercoating ovens in Australia; a custom-built, 17-metre-long line that includes inline blasting, cleaning, and coating.
Doogood’s offering includes prefabricated fencing panels, custom gates, wire systems, and posts available in a wide range of sizes and finishes. All steel conforms to Australian Standards (AS1074 / AS1163 / AS1450) and can be powder coated to match client specifications.
In response to growing demand for crash-rated and high-security fencing, Doogood is in the process of developing new systems in 2025: DOOMAX VRF and Eduguard VRF. These vehicle retention fence systems are engineered to meet international crash standards and represent a new frontier in Australian perimeter protection. DOOMAX VRT fencing is the first Australian manufactured, PAS:68 certified crash rated fence. Details: https://www.steel.org.au/industry-directory/doogood-australia
A new $2.4 million tug berth facility at the Port of Devonport is among an impressive list of engineering projects undertaken by ASI Tasmanian-based member BridgePro Engineering.

Steel is at the core of the upgrade, which involved the demolition of the existing small craft berth and old wharf, and replacement with dedicated berths for two tug vessels and four small craft vessels.
Key components include:

South Australia fabricator Maxispan offers a comprehensive range of steel framing solutions in the residential and commercial markets, including wall frames, roof trusses, and floor joists. Its in-house design and drafting team use advanced FrameCAD technology to create custom steel framing solutions tailored to the project’s requirements. Maxispan works closely with architects, builders, and developers to ensure each detail is accounted for from design through to installation. Custom steel framing solutions are available from single dwellings to large multi-residential developments. The benefits of Maxispan’s steel framing system was clearly demonstrated in a project that saw 15 single-storey independent living units with associated civil works and landscaping built at the Penneys Hill Estate within 12 months. Traditional ‘stick timber’ construction was replaced in favour of Maxispan’s prefabricated LGS framing made from TRUECORE® steel, saving time and improving onsite efficiency.
