ASI was a proud partner of the WorldSkills Australia National Championships held in Brisbane from 12-14 June, where the construction steelwork and welding competitions drew significant attention.

Winners of the construction steelwork section were Eoin John from Perth, Reuben Pinkerton from Gippsland and Liam Eccles from Tasmania. The welding section was taken out by Shaun Meinecke from the Illawarra in NSW, Jet Mules from the southeast region of SA and Tyson Read from northern region of SA.

More than 20,000 attendees, including 13,000 school students, visited the skills show featuring 60 trades and skills. School groups interacted with Try-A-Skill stations, industry representatives, and training providers. The next WorldSkills Australia National Championships will be hosted in Adelaide in 2027.
