ASI continues to engage with Australian universities

23 June 2025

Two Victorian-based civil engineering students have received ASI-sponsored undergraduate awards for excellence in structural steel engineering and design.

Final year civil engineering student Harrison Osmond received his award at the annual Monash Civil and Environmental Engineering Awards, with honours civil engineering student Ngoc Le receiving a similar award from Victoria University.

Both received an Australian Steel Institute Undergraduate Award certificate and a $1,000 eLearning voucher from the ASI.

The awards allow the ASI to build a relationship with student winners who may be in a position to influence a decision to use steel in a structure due to their familiarity with structural steel engineering and design.
