NSSCS for Fabricators

Australian Standard AS/NZS 5131 and the National Structural Steelwork Compliance Scheme (NSSCS) can be of significant benefit to fabricators.

Achieving the quality benchmark

The process to achieve the quality benchmark for fabricators is:

  1. Demonstrate conformity to AS/NZS 5131: to ensure processes and documentation are consistent with the Construction Category for the structure or component being undertaken. 
  2. Provide project-specific documentation: on a particular project, provide the documentation required by AS/NZS 5131.
  3.  Declaration of compliance: provide the Declaration of Compliance (DoC) for the products (fabricated steelwork) covered under your scope of work.
