Seminar: Design of light gauge cold-formed steel industrial/commercial buildings - Adelaide

This seminar has been developed to improve designer knowledge and confidence in the correct application of loading codes and appropriate design of light gauge cold formed steel Industrial/commercial buildings.

Particular focus will be applied to the determination of site wind speeds which is a critical process to ensure building structures are designed correctly in accordance with Australian Standards. When considering the various input factors noted in AS/NZS 1170.2, such as Wind Region, Importance Level, Terrain Category, Shielding and Topography, there is considerable room for error in determining the correct Site Wind Speed.

Key details on how to optimize the design of purlins and girts which make up approximately 17% of the cost of buildings will be included to provide attendees with the knowledge to design cost efficient outcomes.

This is must-attend event for those who wish to remove the stress of designing these wind sensitive structures! If you are an engineer, a builder or a certifier, you need to come along, inform yourself and be part of the journey towards more efficient outcomes!
