The ASI’s National Steel Shed Group recently launched a poster-led campaign to promote industry compliance for the cold formed steel shed industry. National Manager – Steel Shed Group, Neil Creek, said the theme We Stand by Our Sheds was developed for the poster-based campaign so Steel Shed Group members can proudly demonstrate their compliance with Australian standards and consumer law requirements. Mr Creek believes the campaign has already reached about 50 percent of reputable shed resellers across Australia. He said the impetus for the campaign was largely spurred by 2006’s Cyclone Larry which played havoc with non-compliant steel sheds in areas affected by the cyclone. Compliance issues covered by the campaign include Building Code of Australia compliance, design approvals by registered professional engineers, and minimum 15 year product warranties. Interest in the Steel Shed Group is growing fast with 35 new members signed for the second quarter of 2006-07 bringing the total number to over 220 members nationally. Enquiries: email@example.com
