Kingfield Galvanizing was recently recognised in the 2018 Australian Financial Review’s Most Innovative Companies List. Kingfield Galvanizing was ranked 70th on the overall list, from over 1000 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
Kingfield Galvanizing was recognised for its plant innovation as the first hot dip galvanizing plant in Australia to integrate plant automation and sustainability. Their innovative practices include fully enclosed pre-treatment, drying and hot dip galvanizing facilities that prevent emissions from entering the atmosphere; recycling and re-using waste from the galvanizing process; reclaiming heat and reducing energy consumption per tonne of steel galvanized.
Steve Laussen (CEO of Kingfield Galvanizing) said, “It took great courage for our major shareholders and Board of Directors to invest in the future and embrace world’s best practice in automation and hot dip galvanizing. It then required an innovative outlook from all our staff to embrace the changes being made and deliver the intended outcomes. This accolade recognises both the courage and the innovation, but also inspires a sustained approach to continuous improvement.”
