The Australian Steel Institute’s 2019 Convention looks at current infrastructure opportunities and beyond the project pipeline, focussing on forging deeper and more meaningful commercial links that will see our industry continue to grow and thrive.

The Meet & Greet function will be an opportunity to reconnect with other members, network with industry peers and reconnect. Hosted offsite at the Ivy Sunroom, the evening promises great food, drink and entertainment.

The steel event of the year! All delegates and members are warmly invited to join us for a memorable evening at the Convention Dinner. Drinks will flow and a 3-course menu will be served. Unlike previous year’s award presentations will not take place, instead guests will be treated to entertainment, laughs and a few surprises.

By registering and paying for the 2019 Australian Steel Convention you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Please note these are specific to the Convention and in addition to the ASI standard event terms and conditions:
1. Event fees and membership
Event fees are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST.
Inclusions for full and day registrations have been listed on the ASI website and can be found HERE.
Member discounts are provided to ASI members only. Individual membership under the ASI Constitution is not transferable to any other person or entity. As a result, the Member rate is only available to the individual Member who appears on the ASI Member Register. There are no circumstances where this benefit can be transferred. Any additional accompanying persons registered will be charged at the non-member rate.
Upon receipt of your registration and payment your membership will be checked against the membership register and adjustment to the registration type or fee made if necessary. Payment of adjustments are required prior to the Convention to gain entry to sessions.
All event attendees eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points may use the confirmation of registration and/or tax invoice/receipt as a record for a CPD Program. Whether an event qualifies for CPD points is subject to the requirements of your professional body and Australian Steel Institute makes no warranty any of its events will qualify for CPD points with any other organisation.
Registration is not confirmed until payment in full has been received. The ASI reserves the right to refuse entry until such time as the payment is settled should payment not have been received prior to the Convention.
Online payment for the Convention can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). A 2% surcharge applies to American Express purchases.
4. Cancellations & Transfers
Transfer of registration: If you are unable to attend the Convention you can transfer your registration to another person. All transfers must be done in writing to the Convention Manager. Transfer of registration from Member to Non-member is permissible but the fee difference will be applicable. No refund will be given for a transfer of ticket between a Non-member and member.
Cancellation of registration: Cancellations must be made in writing to the Convention Manager, the following cancellation fees apply:
Alteration or cancellation of registration or accommodation bookings must be made to the Convention Manager in writing to email@example.com .
The Australian Steel Institute reserves the right to cancel events for any reason including if they are under-subscribed. In such cases any fees paid will be fully refunded. We may also, in exceptional circumstances, use substitute speakers.
Where a registrant is entitled to a refund under the provisions of 4. Cancellations & Transfers above or special Cancellation provisions, the amount will be returned in full to the original payer and by the same payment method as the original payment. Australian Steel Institute will make its best endeavours to refund within ten (10) business
