Webcast seminar: Design of light gauge cold-formed steel industrial/commercial buildings

This seminar has been developed to improve designer knowledge and confidence in the correct application of loading codes and appropriate design of light gauge cold formed steel Industrial/commercial buildings.

There have been some major updates to the design of these structures over the last period and this seminar will look to provide a comprehensive update on all elements while covering a lot of the base information.

Particular focus will be applied to:

  • Determination of site wind speed and software for assistance
  • Purlin and girt design
  • Portal frame analysis and design
  • Roller door framing and door design requirements as per AS1170.2 (amendment 4 and AS1170.2 - 2020 draft)
  • Connections for haunches and bases, including modelling
  • Footing design.

This is a must-attend event for those who wish to remove the stress of designing these wind sensitive structures. If you are an engineer, a builder or a certifier, you need to come along, inform yourself and be part of the journey towards more efficient outcomes!
