TN005 Guidelines for designing to AS 4100 when imported materials are involved, version 4

TN005 Guidelines for designing to AS 4100 when imported materials are involved, version 4

The goal of the National Construction Code (NCC) is to achieve and maintain acceptable standards of structural sufficiency, safety, health and amenity for the benefit of the Australian community now and in the future. The NCC sets out the technical requirements for building design professionals to meet in order to achieve these goals and calls up AS 4100 “Steel Structures” as a complying standard for the design of structural steel in buildings. The guidelines in TN005 are intended to allow structural engineers to assess the risks and a method of proceeding when designing structural steel members and connections in accordance with AS 4100 where imported materials are involved. Version 4, Aug 2020. Authored by Tim Hogan.
