Welcome to the Australian Steel Institute

ASI is Australia’s peak steel industry association promoting Australian steel in manufacturing and construction, and representing the whole of the steel value chain.

Our Mission:
To deliver increased use of Australian steel and improved industry competitiveness by:

Our membership covers the full spectrum of steel industry from the steel mills and manufacturers to the education sector. ASI is a not-for-profit organisation with three sustaining members BlueScope Steel, OneSteel and Fletcher Group and a tiered membership structure through all other sectors.

ASI sustaining manufacturer members monitor the local and global steel market trends and economic influences on the steel industry.  ASI members are provided with national annual economic updates by sustaining member companies.  The ASI steel Australia magazine also includes external expert articles, opinions and reports when available to keep ASI members informed of these market trends and statistics.
